The Spokane Exchange

Old Faces, Old Location, New Name!

The Spokane Exchange stopped in to the old Nick’s Location and finds a new company with some familiar faces, read what they found out! Frank’s Boot Co. has opened up shop in the former Nick’s Boots location. Although the business name has changed, you might see some of many same faces at Frank’s Boot Co.

Frank Petrilli, the owner of Frank’s Boots was the manager of Nick’s Boots for over 20 years. After his partner and dear friend Richard retired in 2013. Nick’s Boots was sold and new management took over the Nick’s Boots name. Boot building and the pride that comes with it is in Frank’s blood. In August 2016 he decided that in order to pursue the craft he loves, he would open his own boot company. What better location to open up shop, than the same location people have been coming to for decades to buy quality boots–3805 N. Market Street.

Several craftsman from the original team at Nick’s have joined Frank in his new venture. Rest assure of great service and quality with over 60 years of combined experience under one roof.

Frank’s has many brands of quality boots and footwear in stock from Danner, Keen, Carolina and Hoffman’s. They excel at building custom boots made for your individual feet. Soon Frank’s will have an inventory of stock size handmade boots ready for purchase.

Spokane Exchange Interviewing Frank

One might ask “Why do I need a custom fit boot?” While that answer may differ for buyers, there are many benefits. Custom boots can help alleviate back and foot pain, help correct gait and alignment issues, and provide safety and support in the workplace.

“Many of our customers are Loggers, Firefighters, Construction and Wildland workers,” said Frank. “Some of the boots I have sold have lasted 15 years, with a resole or rebuild in between,” he remarked. “I hear all the time that the boots are the most comfortable boots my customers have ever owned.” “If you have an odd shaped foot, or two different size feet, this is really the direction a person should go, with a custom made leather work boot,” says Frank.

In addition to building boots, Frank’s also resoles most major brands, and repairs and rebuilds many brands, including the boots of major competitors in the Spokane market.  We would like to thank Spokane Exchange for this article and helping us get our name out there more.
